According to a few sources, Kings Of Leon of left Columbia Records for Warner Bros. where they have signed an unusual deal: they will pay half of their recording costs. Apparently this will in turn give the band more control over their music and a bigger share in profits. The source said, "Kings of Leon are one of the few bands on the planet who have enough heft to negotiate such a favourable deal. It is virtually unheard of but it shows how keen Warner Brothers were to have them on their books." The band has since denied they will be changing labels and that the story is not true. They released this offiical statement: "Consider the source. Kings of Leon have always had and continue to have a great relationship with their label."
