Avenged Sevenfold drummer James Owen Sullivan, best known to fans as The Rev, has reportedly been found dead at his Huntington Beach, California home.Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Sullivan's death, but it is still unclear as to what may have caused it. A few sources are reporting he died of natural causes.The band has posted the following message:"It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan. Jimmy was not only one of the world's best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy's family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time.Jimmy you are forever in our hearts.We love you.M Shadows, Synyster Gates, Zacky Vengeance and Johnny Christ"

Avenged Sevenfold
has released four albums since their 1999 inception and according to their Myspace page, they were currently working on their fifth release. They last released their self titled album in 2007.
