An unauthorized biopic based on the early days of Blink 182's career is apparently going to begin filming in April, 2010. However, the band is in no way linked to the project and filmmaker Brandon Flores plans to make it with or without their approval. In a recent interview, Flores said: "We've been trying to get in touch with their management, or even the guys in Blink, because we'd like to use their songs in the movie. Or maybe we could even get the guys to do a cameo in the film." The film (not a documentary), is tentatively titled Blink and will focus on the bands early days and their struggles and the introduction of drummer Travis Barker. Flores and friends have been interviewing fans who atteneded Blink 182's early shows for most of the past year.

When singer/bassist Mark Hoppus learned of the film he said, "I didn't know anything about the movie. I wonder how it pays. Should I try out for the part of Tom?"
