Flaming Lips front man Wayne Coyne revealed the news of the album to the LA Times saying parts of the original album will stay, some will go and new parts will be added. Coyne went on to say “It’s kind of redone in the way a city is redone, There’s some great old structures you never want to tear down, and you take chances next to it and you build a new futuristic museum. I would never want people to think that if you saw us three years ago, what we’re doing now has nothing to do with that.”

Pink Floyd released ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ in 1973. The album stayed on the Billboard chart for 741 weeks (14 years) and sold an estimated 45 million copies.
