Karnivool debuts at number 2 on Aria charts

Since their sleeper hit album, ‘Themata’ released in April 2005, KARNIVOOL have built an incredible army of fervent fans who have in the past week voted with their feet to cement KARNIVOOL’s reputation as the sharp end of the cutting edge of heavy rock in this country. With four years between albums their follow up, ‘Sound Awake’ has debuted at number 2 on the national ARIA albums chart today (only to be pipped at the post of hitting number one by global megabrand the Black Eyed Peas), a remarkable achievement for a young independent Australian band.   Whilst delivering the band’s trademark sound ‘Sound Awake’ takes the listener to new heights as it ventures into innovative exploratory territory.
