With fond memories of their energetic headline shows at the 2009 Future Music Festival still fresh in our minds, we won’t have to wait too much longer to get another taste of legendary UK dance act Basement Jaxx.

In an interview with Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, Felix Buxton of the duo said the album, titled Scars, is finished and in the process of being mastered.

It will be their fifth studio album and it has a proposed release date of late May/early June. “It’s all good,” Felix told Radio 1. “It was all being mastered when we came out to Colombia a few days ago, so it should all be solidifying at the moment.” Felix also spoke of the album’s guests, revealing they’ve once again lined up a diverse array of vocalists including Yoko Ono, Santigold, Lightspeed Champion and Yo! Majesty.

Sweet!
