Chuck Ragan & Tom Gabel Australian tour

Chuck Ragan is as much a storyteller as he is a songwriter, setting life’s triumphs and failures to guitar chords and melodies. The former Hot Water Music frontman has become a musical troubadour, writing stripped-down acoustic songs that retain the same passion evident in his punk rock career.

Feast or Famine, his debut studio album, beautifully captures the sound of a gifted singer/songwriter as he journeys into the next chapter of his musical life. “I think this is the most mature material that I’ve ever been able to do,” says Ragan. “I’ve gotten a little older and while I had a blast with all the yelling and the sweating and falling off the stage, this is who I am right now.”

Tom Gabel, leader of acclaimed modern rock band Against Me!, returns to his roots as a solo singer/songwriter-acoustic guitarist with the EP "Heart Burns." Inspired by America’s recent political and cultural landscape, Gabel wanted to release the topical and timely songs prior to the US national elections.

Recorded in August of 2008 between Against Me! tours, "Heart Burns" is a scorching musical manifesto. Having toured Australia several times fronting their bands, with acoustic guitars in hand, together they will tour Australia this May for the very first time as solo artists.
