In a tirelessly repetitive age of rock where nearly every bands' value system holds songwriting, tight-legged pants and blog devotion at the same level - The Bronx reminds us of how an aggressive yet catchy rock song done right is still capable of making the hair stand up on the back of our necks. As easy and simple as it seems, it's nearly impossible to find a band in 2008 that makes truly exciting rock that is rooted in passion and intelligence, which is why The Bronx need to be held in the high regard they deserve.
Is it punk, or hard rock, or alternative?
Who in the hell knows and does anyone really give a rat's arse?
The important thing is that the band has finished work on their third full length album with legendary producer Dave Schiffman (Mars Volta, System Of A Down, Rage Against The Machine) and that the album will hit stores this November.
The Bronx (III) will continue the band's tradition of creating blistering, white hot rock that kicks you in the loins to make you move, and slaps you in the head to make you think.
The lead track, "Knifeman", can be heard on the band's myspace page (
myspace.com/thebronx) and was selected by the Warped Tour and myspace to be the first featured 'Download of the Week' in support of the tour's launch in June.
The Bronx has just finished up their headlining slot on the Vans Warped tour and will head out on the road in the US again on separate tours with Bad Religion and Every Time I Die in support of the new studio album.
This will lead the band to Australia in December for their fourth headlining tour. Already announced as part of the amazing line up at the Meredith Music Festival, it is with excitement we now announce the band's own headline shows around the country.
