Official Press Release:

Street Press Australia, Stomp Touring, Emissary and Familia Touring present ‘SET IT OFF’ NATIONAL TOUR with THE RED SHORE, FOR THE FALLEN DREAMS (USA), AS SILENCE BREAKS and IN TRENCHES.

It’s been a long winter and some have been waiting for something worth getting out of the house for. With summer fast approaching what better excuse than a tour full of brutal metal and heavy hardcore. The answer is the ‘Set It Off’ National Tour this December. After a sold out national tour with I Killed the Prom Queen and taking some time to write what is arguably the heaviest album to come out of Australia THE RED SHORE are ready to embark on a national tour once again. TRS have forged a passionate following almost unheard of so early in a band’s career. Rather than relying on meticulously edited recordings to do all their talking, they’ve paid their dues and shed the sweat to unleash a touring beast on an unsuspecting country, with each show plunging shockwaves though the underground scene.

The Red Shore have taken what was once considered the utmost in extremes, and wound the crank, with faster and more caustic technical guitar work, and even heavier cataclysmic breakdowns. Instead of merely riding the genre’s worldwide surge in popularity, The Red Shore has continued to stay ahead of the pack, inspiring numerous imitations in their wake. Already touring with Australia’s hardcore heavyweights and joining Job for A Cowboy and All Shall Perish on their tours Down Under, The Red Shore have simultaneously achieved a level of prowess that sees them somehow enchant the death metal faithful and newcomers alike. Which as anyone involved knows, is no mean feat.

To up the ante the much hyped and steadily impressive FOR THE FALLEN DREAMS from Michigan USA will join The Red Shore on the road for their debut Australian tour. Their humble upbringing and dedication shows in the music they play. FTFD plays some of the most brutal yet melodic music. Honest and angry. With their latest release CHANGES, out now through Rise Records/Stomp, FTFD are definitely one of the heaviest records for 2008. Produced by upstart studio guru Joey Sturgis (The Devil Wears Prada, My Children My Bride, At The Throne of Judgment) FTFD showcases some of the best guitar work in their genre. Pantera would be proud.

Also making their tour debut are Sydney’s own As Silence Breaks will be joining the lineup. Not content with being pigeonholed into one specific genre As Silence Breaks have done what they have always chosen to do; and that’s to do it their way and carve their own path in the Australian heavy music scene. With a sound sitting comfortably between both beauty and aggression ASB are both unique yet highly accessible. Through this universal appeal they are turning heads in the underground scene and have established a solid fan base that’s growing larger by the day. 2008 has been a massive year for ASB that has seen them tour relentlessly Australia wide with the best bands from both local and abroad. This coupled with an even stronger reputation means nothing but big things on the horizon for the boys from Western Sydney.

To round off this already impressive package are Australia’s own IN TRENCHES. Fresh starts can be pleasant in any form, but for In Trenches this new beginning couldn’t be more deserved. After years in some of Australia's most well-known hardcore bands I Killed the Prom Queen and Day of Contempt, the current members have hit the ground running and don’t look like letting up. Judging by the overwhelming early response to the band’s ’08 demo you will be seeing more of IT with an upcoming release and their addition to the Australian live circuit.
