Indianapolis hardcore band Haste The Day are heading to Australia for the very first time this November. Formed in 2001, the band released their first EP "That They May Know You" in 2002, which subsequently got them signed to renowned Christian label Solid State Records.

However, no band is complete without their fare share of bumps along the way. In 2005, original vocalist Jimmy Ryan announced his departure from the band so he could get married and soon after landed a job at Tooth & Nail Records.

In late July, the band fired guitarist Jason Barnes due to his conflicting religious beliefs. The band said, "We would call ourselves a Christian band and for that reason, we felt we couldn't have someone in the band who didn't agree with the band's foundational drive. Jason's new found disbelief in what the rest of us have committed our lives to began to cause disunity within the band and as a result, we prayed and talked about it and felt like God was saying it wasn't time for Haste the Day to come to an end. Thusly, We asked Jason to leave."

"Dreamer", Haste The Day’s latest record is set for an October release and according to the band is "the best and heaviest Haste The Day album to date."
