The Hot Lies post update

The Hot Lies' Jared has posted the following update:

"Hey Guys.

I just thought i send out a bit of an update as to what we have been up to, well firstly we had a really awesome Christmas and new year season, we played up Dreamworld at the odyssey festival on new years then we all had a little bit of a holiday up in Brisbane and on the Gold

Coast. Since then we have all come back to Adelaide except Luke (the vagabond) of course who is living in Sydney at the moment. Pete has got his Rubber Ducky boat working again so he has been taking

that

down the coast with the boys and building (and become very obsessed with) a studio at his new house. Leado has been chilling out a lot as he likes

to do

in his time off at his south beach side abode, Pixie has been moving house and

still

working on a career in bodybuilding and I have been working a bit in the music

shop and

sneaking down to the beach for a surf when i get a chance.

As well as these exciting activities we have started working on our

next record

which is really exciting, we are trying a new method of writing this time round. Instead of rehearsing every day for a few hours like we did for "Ringing in the Sane" we are trying to do really intense blocks

of writing every 2 or 3 weeks. The idea behind this is we will have

time between the writing sessions to get inspired again and work on our parts.. So far this seems to be working really well as we have

jammed out 4 whole songs and have another 6 or so ready for the next

session. We have set a goal to get our second album out by this time next year.

In my downtime i also have set up a facebook account for the band...not because I want to waste more time on the internet but because it will help us to stay in closer contact with you guys

about shows. People are always saying that the miss out on our shows

In other news we kick off Sink or Sin tour this week in New South Wales. We are really excited to get back on the road

and come and see all you guys again. Over the next two months we will be heading to all corners of Australia with Angela's Dish and Calling
