heading to the US in June to

record, Melbourne

band The Getaway Plan has been working towards one hell of a return!

With an exciting full-length debut album, hard-hitting lead single and a stack

of tour dates lined up, The Getaway Plan arrive back in Oz next month to

headline the Boomtown Showdown 2007 tour.

For a group

of twenty year olds, there is no doubt that The Getaway Plan have

achieved more than almost anyone at their age. Since the release of their debut

EP, ‘Hold Conversation’ in 2006, they have been handpicked by both The Used and

Taking Back Sunday to support them on their sold out Australian tours, had a

huge amount of exposure via Triple J and played live-to-air on MTV’s “The Lair”

program. Most recently, they were given the opportunity to head to the US to record

their debut album, ‘Other Voices, Other Rooms’, with reknowned producer James

Paul Wisner (Underoath, New Found Glory, Dashboard Confessional). The album is

set for release in February 2008.

Now, as the

band prepares to headline this year’s national Boomtown Showdown tour, they

will release the album’s first single, ‘Streetlight’, on November 3. The track

is the perfect introduction to the diverse soundscape that is Other Voices, and

will give fans something to tie them over as they wait for the full-length

release. A film clip will accompany the single, with radio and TV being

serviced with their first taste of the highly anticipated debut in October.

The

Getaway Plan’s ‘Streetlight’

will be released with exclusive B-Sides for only $5 both digitally and on

compact disc, with fans having an opportunity to pre-order the record from

selected outlets as from mid September.

The

Getaway Plan will release Streetlight on November 3 via Boomtown / Shock, and

will headline the

Boomtown Showdown 2007 tour throughout November. Their debut album ‘Over

Voices, Other Rooms’

will be in stores February 2008.

Stay

tuned, as the Boomtown Showdown 2007 tour lineup & dates will be announced this week!
