Gyroscope on the road with Horsell Common & Calling All Cars this October/November...

Official Press Release:

After eight months writing and eight weeks recording in Liverpool and mixing in London, Gyroscope are incredibly proud to announce that their new album will be titled 'Breed Obsession'. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Gyroscope will showcase their new material on their national ‘Snakeskin’ tour throughout October and November (tour dates and ticketing details below.)

‘Breed Obsession’ takes the energy, passion and power of Gyroscope’s live shows and combines it with the songwriting growth and progression that they've developed over the past few albums. The first single lifted off ‘Breed Obsession’ will be the epic sounding 'Snakeskin'.

Daniel Sanders says "Spending some time in hibernation whilst writing this album has made for some great progressions… 'Snakeskin' is a great representation of our head space and expresses a lot of the emotions and directions we have taken in the creation of our 3rd record. Like a snake shedding its well worn skin, these are the days of our lives."

Zoran Trivic adds "This song was based around the piano to begin with, which was really a different approach to songwriting for us. As the songwriting went along, the track just got bigger and bigger and really came together as an epic track for us."

‘Snakeskin’ will be released October 27, 2007 with two exclusive B-Sides. The digital release will include a third exclusive B-Side.

The ‘Snakeskin’ video was shot in Wiltshire, near Stonehenge, a few hours south of London. The central focus of the video sees the band playing in the middle of a 200 metre crop circle (!) that was made specifically for the video shoot, in the same farm where the Led Zeppelin crop circle was made that featured on the cover of the Remasters disc!

The sight of the newly formed crop circle caused quite the stir on the net with theories of its significance “cropping” up on the strangest sites:

In this one it's even been analysed by an Australian scientist!

And then the truth was revealed… http://www.earthfiles.com/news.php?ID=1308&category=Environment – with earthfiles.com even managing to secure an interview with the owner of the field!

The ‘Snakeskin’ video will be uploaded to Gyroscope’s Myspace site (www.myspace.com/gyroscope) on Wednesday September 12 @ 8:00pm EST.

With ‘Breed Obsession’ slated for release early 2008, don’t miss the opportunity to witness Gyroscope, arguably one of Australia’s best live bands, unleash their awesome new material on their upcoming ‘Snakeskin’ tour.
