THE AMITY AFFLICTION is currently one of the most talked about bands in the Australianpunk and hardcore scenes. While a lot of this talk can be attributed to their top notch‘High Hopes’ EP/DVD released early this year and their subsequent tours with US bandsUnderoath and He Is Legend, it is no secret that the antics of the members themselveshave helped drive the hype. So ridiculous are the bands stories of drunken parties,members being left behind on tour, and week long benders that they have not only fueledpeople’s interest in the band, but have established THE AMITY AFFLICTION as the bandthat you do not want to miss live!

After spending seven years perched firmly behind the drums, keeping the beats fast andfurious for Australian metalcore heroes I Killed The Prom Queen, JJ Peters has gone stircrazy and mad with power. After I Killed The Prom Queen’s recent demise, Peters hasrisen like a phoenix from it’s ashes in the form of DEEZ NUTS; a one-man musicalassault of hardcore-driven party anthems laced with the tongue-in-cheek rap ethic of justnot giving a f#@k. With an overwhelming response to the DEEZ NUTS advance tracks onMyspace, and his debut EP ‘Rep Your Hood’ being released through Stomp only monthsafter its conception, it is clear that DEEZ NUTS can not be stopped.

Joining in on the shenanigans is Sunshine Coast hardcore act, THE DAYLIGHT CURSE.Starting out in 2002, THE DAYLIGHT CURSE has released two full-length albums whichwere supported by countless tours up and down the East Coast of Australia. In 2007,with a restructured line-up, The Curse have returned with their strongest and mostcreative live set ever, featuring catchy and inventive new tracks.
