Lifetime Australian tour

Originally forming in New Jersey in the early '90s, the legendary LIFETIME had the dubious honor of watching most of its peers fall off or fade away. Rather than wallowing in nostalgia,like fellow celebrated musicians, the band became its own boss, reinventing its sound andleaving the hardcore by-the-rules scene to decide for itself. Many since have decided to furtherexplore LIFETIME’s pop-punk blueprint and this has proven something to be thankful for,although few compare to the real thing.

By the time of the group's demise in the late 1990s, LIFETIME had redefined undergroundmusic in the States, and across the globe, steering it towards a progressive transition from thepunk of yesteryear. But they are back. Their reunion in 2005 excited fans around the world andsparked much hope, bringing the seemingly extinct legends back into the center of their scene.

LIFETIME’s fan base includes members of New Found Glory, Saves The Day, Taking BackSunday and Fall Out Boy. In fact, Fall Out Boy bass player and owner of Decaydance Records,Pete Wentz signed the band in 2006 and said, “I am very excited to be a part of the future ofLIFETIME. Fall Out Boy would not be a band or have the sound that we do if it wasn't for them.I think it is important to for everyone to hear another Lifetime record.”

LIFETIME’s self-titled release (and first in over 10 years!) was released in USA onDecaydance / Fueled By Ramen and although they’ve been away for so long, still displays theyouthful energy and passion for which they’re renowned. The album has also scored a localrelease on indie Boomtown due October 13.

West Coast hardcore punk outfit MILES AWAY will be joining LIFETIME on their maidenAustralian tour. Having completed several trips across the country, signed to legendary hardcore label Bridge Nine and traveled to Asia and the US, MILES AWAY will be more thancapable of holding their own.
