Adelaide rockers The Hot Lies have begun recording their highly anticipated debut album in Sydney with leading Australian producer Phil McKellar (Grinspoon, Kisschasy, silverchair). The band have just commenced the tracking process and will be based in Sydney until the end of next month when the album is completed. ‘RingingintheSane’ is the current working album title and is likely to include tracks ‘Tokyo’ and ‘Down&Out’ which were recently previewed during a handful of comeback live shows.

Their previous EP HeartAttacksandCallousActs’ spent more than an entire year on the ARIA singles chart after debuting in the national Top 40 and went on to sell over 10,000 copies, while the band’s acclaimed live show saw them tour nationally with My Chemical Romance, Alkaline Trio, Alexisonfire, Millencolin and CokeLiveNLocal.

Meanwhile, the band has set up THL-TV at www.myspace.com/thehotlies and will be uploading regular video diaries from the studio.
