Plus comment on new album

The Black Dahlia Murder have posted the following statement:

"Well, after 4.5 months of grueling searching, we are extremely happy to announce that Shannon Lucas [ex-ALL THAT REMAINS] has joined THE BLACK DAHLIA fold. He is an extremely sick player, as many of you already know, and we can't wait to do the next album together. We also would like to thank everyone that tried out for the band. We had the chance to jam with some amazing dudes throughout the process. We encourage everyone who can to come out to our first show back at New England Metal and Hardcore Festival [in late April]."

TBDM are writing material for the follow up to 2005’s "Miasma" which is due for release later this year. Vocalist Trevor Strnad commented on the new album to MTV.com:

“It's definitely in the same vein as our older stuff. Nothing drastically changed. It's just more tasteful, and some of this new stuff will be faster than the last record."
