Scar Symmetry writing new material

Swedish metal band Scar Symmetry has posted the following update:

"At the moment we're in the midst of writing material for our third album, set to be recorded at the end of the summer. So far we have like 10 songs in the works and there are more set to be written in the near future. Hopefully we'll have around 15-20 songs to choose from, in time for the recording.

"As [far as] upcoming live appearances [are concerned], we're very much looking forward in participating in this year's edition of ProgPower UK [festival], set to take place outside of London, at the end of March. Also, like we've told you before in an earlier post, there is a new tour in the works, which we hope will be 100% confirmed shortly, so that we can share some further info with you guys."

Their last effort “Pitch Black Progress” was released early 2006 via Nuclear Blast Records.
