30 Aussie Artists Are About To Take Over The UK's Great Escape Festival

The Great Escape 2023 sure is shaping up to be a stunning showcase event for up-and-coming talents.

Sounds Australia, in partnership with Tourism Australia, is sending 30 local acts to the UK next week, to perform at The Great Escape Festival and put on two massive showcases.

Having coordinated showcasing and networking for Australian artists and industry at Brighton, UK’s The Great Escape since 2009, Sounds Australia's events are the place to discover the best new Australian artists, with thousands of fans and music industry professionals regularly attending.

The Great Escape is shaping up to be a huge event. The festival often hosts around 300 artists who perform in over 30 venues across the city of Brighton.


With 30 Aussie artists joining international talents such as headliners Maisie Peters and Arlo Parks and further acts like Chubby And The Gang, Dream Wife, Junodream, King Woman, Marika Hackman, Militarie Gun, Pool Kids, The Murder Capital and many more, The Great Escape 2023 sure is shaping up to be a stunning showcase event for up-and-coming talents.

The 30 Australian artists booked to perform at The Great Escape from 10 to 13 May are:

Alongside the Music Producer And Engineers’ Guild Of Australia, Sounds Australia will co-present a panel as part of the conference programming at The Great Escape Festival entitled Building Community To Create Stronger Networks.

Celebrated Australian producer Anna Laverty (Camp Cope, Stella Donnelly, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds) will discuss the establishment of MPEG Australia. She'll be joined by fellow Australian producers Milan Ring, Catherine Marks (Manchester Orchestra, Wolf Alice, Foals), Leona Fensome and Brendan Harding (Weird Jungle Collective).

On Sunday, 14 May, THE AUSSIE BBQ London will return to Colours Hoxton, supported by Tourism Australia. It's the largest showcase of Australian music in the UK, and 2023 will be the biggest one yet, with over 20 artists showcasing from noon until night.
