Bury Your Dead: still all about that beauty & the breakdown in 2019.

Listening to a new Bury Your Dead song right now in the current year is like seeing that popular Jumanji GIF: "WHAT YEAR IS IT!?" But here the band are, back in action. Just before re-performing their Alive DVD setlist at Chain Reaction in America this weekend on March 23rd, the famed hardcore/metalcore band now shares with the world new single, 'Collateral'.

With what is arguably one of the band's tightest line-ups - vocalist Mat Bruso, guitarist Chris Towning, drummer Mark Castillo, and bassist Aaron Patrick - Bury Your Dead have just dropped their first new slab of material since 2011's 'Mosh n' Roll' LP.  And it's basically what everyone who has ever heard a BYD song before in their life would expect to hear from the band in 2019.

It's got heaps of heavy chugs, breakdowns galore, some guitar squealies and natural harmonic runs, an opening pit call of "you fucking crossed the line" that's just classic Bruso, and it's armed with a pretty beefy tone and mix. It's just pure Bury Your Dead, where you can mosh and beat your chest like a tough-guy, but also have a good ol' emotional cry too. Fucking sweet.

'Collateral', for fans of: all the mosh-loving metalcore bands that ripped-off BYD, 2006, throwing down. Check it out below:
