New Anaal Nathrakh? Um, yes please!

A new Anaal Nathrakh song? Um, yes please!

'Forward!' is a skull-fucking new tune full of huge riffs and harrowing visions of war, starvation, destruction, and nihilism. So... you know, typical Anaal Nathrakh, really. As for the song itself, there's some hardcore, some symphonic elements, some death metal, some industrial parts and some grindcore all present; even with a couple dub-steps wubs and machine gun samples time-synced to the multi-instrumentalist Mick Kenney's pounding double kicks.

While some older fans may rip the band's branded patches right off their battle jackets because it dared to be just a little bit different (even though the band have written similar things before in this decade), I personally fuck with it. As, for the most part, it's the usually heavy and pummelling Anaal Nathrakh that many love.

Culled from the extreme British band's war-torn new full-length, ‘A New Kind Of Horror’, their new LP drops through Metal Blade Records on September 28th. Anaal Nathrakh vocalist Dave Hunt spoke about this First World War-inspired record, saying that “This is not a happy album, it is bitter, vengeful, sarcastic, sardonic, violent, terrified and horrified, terrifying and horrifying in equal measure. Above all, it is human, and all that that entails. It’s as sincere as we could make it.” And I'd expect nothing less from these guys too.

Up over the trench with you lot!
