South Australia's The Daily Chase really do love their uplifting and melodic metalcore of the previous decade; that much is clearly evident in their sound. In some solid short doses, it all works rather well, and that's one great thing about their latest single/music video combo, 'The Fear'. With solid production, big vocals and even bigger Euro-metal guitar leads and catchy choruses, this new track from the homegrown Port Pirie boys is just a lot of fun, all with a goofy and silly accompanying film clip to boot.

This fresh slab of 2000's metalcore follows on from the release of the Aussie group's previous single, 'Void', from April. (This new clip features again that "Grim Reaper" character from the 'Void' video, just in a different light). And honestly, I personally much prefer this lighter side of The Daily Chase boys; one that's bigger, brighter, more anthemic and a side that's not taking itself too seriously either.
