South-east Queensland's Big Whoops have barely been an active band for a full year now and they're already making a hell of a lot of noise. Armed with loads of swagger, a '90s punk rock attitude, some goddamn groovy bass lines, massive washes of crunchy guitar riffs and gritty vocal hooks aplenty, the trio's first official offering - their raw and lively new single 'Slither' - is all this and more.

Speaking of their debut single, Big Whoops vocalist Zane Nichol commented that: "Slither is an ode to any slippery sucker that slithers their way in and out of people's lives. A snake is sneaky, it seeks out prey that is thriving and alive, they have no compromise, they do not respond to words, there is no chance of communication just recognition of movement",
