Slowly Slowly Sign To UNFD, Announce New Album ‘St. Leonards’

Slowly Slowly are really making waves in 2018.

Quite simply, I adore Slowly Slowly because of the loving, lush, and homey indie-rock vibes that their music exudes. That was true of their last LP, 2016’s mighty fine ‘Chamomile‘, last year’s 7″ single ‘Aliens‘, and it’s also true now of their newest feel-good tune, ‘Alchemy‘.

On the back of signing up with Australian label UNFD to help further expand their roster beyond the metal realms, Slowly Slowly have revealed the deets for their upcoming album, ‘St. Leonards‘, which is dropping on May 11th. And I cannot wait for it!

On the band now teaming up with the home of their pals in Introvert, frontman Ben Stewart said of the singing that: “As soon as we sat down with UNFD we could feel how excited they were about our record. They understood exactly how we wanted the world to see St. Leonards – we are looking forward to both being a part of the UNFD family and also making them a part of our own.”

St. Leonards‘ was captured by the band themselves in their hometown of Melbourne. Aside from getting some early drum tracking assistance from Joel Taylor over at The Black Lodge Studio, in the band’s true DIY spirit, their second album was entirely co-produced, recorded and mixed by bassist Alex Quayle and Stewart. The last time they did that was when they put out the warm fuzziness of the honest ‘Chamomile‘ and that deemed some bloody good results. So here’s hoping that lightning strikes twice for the Melbourne band with their sophomore effort.
