Man, DAL sure is hitting the pop-punk genre hard lately for their tour. Even more proof of that, there's going to be a real run of pop-punk nostalgia hitting Australia in February with genre mainstays today Say Anything announcing the Australian leg of their 'In Defense Anniversary Tour'; celebrating 10 years of their double-disc, pop-punk-emo extravaganza, 'In Defense Of The Genre' (2007). Marking the L.A. outfit's first visit to Aussie shores in four years, this time around they're pulling no punches as they'll be bringing out two other records for the tour as well.

Say Anything have locked in two nights in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, playing three classic albums across their time in each East Coast city. (Cue the influx of people complaining about it only being an East Coast tour yet who probably wouldn't have gone to the shows anyway). The first night in each city will see the group perform '... Is A Real Boy' (2004) sans 'Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too' and the first disc of 'In Defense Of The Genre', while on the second night, they'll rip-through their 2009 self-titled record as well the second disc of 'In Defense Of The Genre Disc'.

Speaking about the upcoming national tour, Say Anything vocalist Max Bemis has said that:

"Well, this should be the most epic series of shows we've ever put on in terms of the "legacy" of our early work. I predict all-out catharsis in these intimate settings and an awesome experience losing myself in the narrative of each of these albums played in their entirety.”

We think its time to relearn the lyrics to 'Alive With The Glory Of Love', 'Shiksa (Girlfriend)' and 'Hate Everyone', folks! On ya bike:
