Oh boy, I've waited for this one for over four years now - a new Pianos Become The Teeth record. On February 16th, 2018, the U.S. indie/post-hardcore stalwarts will release their fourth LP, 'Wait For Love'.

Following on from the less chaotic, cleaner, mostly scream-less, and overly melodic ripples that defined 2014's very different yet still very solid 'Keep You' LP, this forthcoming record is set to be a similar sonic vein. All with as much passion, heart, and emotional depth as we would all expect from a Pianos record by now.

Which is exactly what we see with their wondrous new single, 'Charisma'. With its clean staccato guitar chords, fuzzy bass-lines, hooky refrains, and frontman Kyle Durfey's soothing vocal melodies that are filled with both love and energy about past romantic relationships - it's a fantastic tune; one that makes the near-four year wait so far more than worth it.

Produced by Will Yip, this record will also supposedly see the famed group "reconciling their aggressive past with the atmospheric turns of Keep You." Which is, really, just PR-speak for "it'll just sound like 'Keep You'" or could very well just mean nothing at all. Either way, I do doubt that the band will ever return to the exact sound and the exact fabled aggression that elevated their older songs like 'I'll Be Damned', 'I'll Get By', and 'Filial' to such palpable, feverish heights. I mean, yes, Pianos do not sound at all their first two records with this new track, but Christ alive, people are saying that like it's the worst fucking thing in the world.

Bemoaning of the internet and comment sections aside, please do check out the brilliant cinematography, Halloween-like visuals and hypnotic performances of Madeline Rhodes and Nataysha Echevarria in the song's incredibly endearing film clip - directed by Michael Parks Randa - below. It's a great watch!
