Russia's Ensslin Release Raw New 12", 'Thumbsucker'

Get around Ensslin, you uncultured swine. 

Proving that it's not always Western bands having all of the gloomy emo/rock fun is Russia's Ensslin, who have some real Sunny Day Real Estate and American Football worship going on with their new 12", 'Thumbsucker'.

Released last week through a joint release through indie/underground labels around the world, what 'Thumbsucker' lacks in recording and mix quality it more than makes up for it with strong songwriting chops and lively dynamics. Perhaps best seen in the haunting standout track, 'Lotus Eater', for instance. And while this new record's production really isn't anything to write home about, due to its raw recording it carries this homey, authentic and old-school feel that wouldn't have gone amiss from your favourite 90's emo and alternative rock bands.

'Thumbsucker' is out now via Brisbane label, Ruined Smile, marking their 24th release. Stream this cool little release below:
