sleepmakeswaves Release Rainbow T-Shirt In Support of SSM 'Yes' Vote

On ya sleepmakeswaves, you fucking legends. 

Some people might say that bands, of any genre, should just keep politics out of their music and that they should just stick to writing songs. Well, some people can fuck right off.

Putting their money where their beliefs are, the stellar Sydney post-rock quartet that is sleepmakeswaves have printed LGBTQI+ rainbow versions of their logo shirts, with all profits going towards charity. Making a swell statement today over their Facebook and Bandcamp pages, the band said that:

"All of us in team smw want to show our support for the LGBTQI+ community here in Australia (and globally!).

Beyond words on social media, we wanted to try and do something to materially support one of the incredible LGBTQI+ support agencies that are on the front lines of a cruel and unnecessary plebiscite on marriage equality in Australia.

Based on some interest in using our rainbow logo as a shirt, we thought we'd offer this design up for sale, with ALL profits going to the incredible Twenty10 Counselling Service.

We chose Twenty10 after some conversations with our friends in the community and we understand they have had a big impact on access to counselling and mental health services for folks who identify as LGBTQI+.

The rights and wellbeing of the LGBTQI+ are an issue that we feel strongly about now and into the future. So please dig in and show your support for our fellow humans.
