The crushingly beautiful song, entitled 'The Frost' is the band's second single in promotion for the new record. And it's a wise choice.

The song showcases everything fans have loved and adored about August Burns Red for years, whilst also showing a sense of what's to come with this new record. The song's structure steps once more away from the traditional metalcore formula, giving each instrument ample room to breathe and shine in their respective ways throughout. With this, the band once again shows us no one does dynamics like them. The song ebbs and flows beautifully in and out of each section, pulling the punches when it needs to and taking a step back at just the right moment.

Of course, I'm pretty keen on this track as I just can't get enough of the subtle, underlying melodies throughout that add so much emotion and weight to the song. Goddamn, I am such a sucker for melodic music. But enough of me ranting on about the track, go give it a listen for yourselves and you be the judge!
