Some nice tour news for you bright and early this morning - Dashboard Confessional will be heading back our way. And it's all happening sooner than you think!

The old Vagrant Records staple band and their alternative rock hits - lead by founding member and driving frontman, Chris Carrabba - will return to Australia next month; their first time back in our country since their Soundwave 2012 appearance. Presented by Blue Murder and Select Touring, Carrabba and co. will run through a brief stint in Australia with a three date tour down the East Coast in mid-September, taking in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

Considering the last actual record we saw from the group was 2009's 'Alter the Ending' and the release of this year's 'Covered and Taped' EP (which saw the group cover 1975, Sorority Noise, among others), hopefully, another full-length record is around the corner. Either way, the emo nostalgia will be real, indeed!

Early bird pre-sales for the band's return trip go down this Friday, August 4th at 9am AEST whereas general sale public tickets go on sale next Tuesday, August 8th at 9am local time. Dates below.

WEDNESDAY 13th SEPTEMBER THE FORUM, MELBOURNE
