And it's fucking nuts!

Up keeping their track record of releasing utterly bonker music videos, England's Don Broco have recently dropped a music video for their new single, 'Technology'.

As many will expect from the Bedford rock four-piece at this point in their career, this new banger is yet another huge anthem with plenty of grooves, hard-hitting riffs, sexy vocal lines, and massive choruses; something Don Broco excels at immensely.

Regarding the single's theme and its smartphone-orientated music video, frontman Rob Damiani says, “‘Technology’ is about a casual swipe through Instagram that ended up in me unfollowing a load of mates. In reality, my friends are not vain, self-obsessed, PDA loving show offs so I'm blaming social media and the habitual nature of sharing every waking moment of your life online.”

From that explanation, it's easy to see why the film clip and it's at first normal then later on completely out-there visuals are all viewed through that of someone's phone. The first-person perspective video begins with the owner watching Don Broco play live solely through their phone, as they casually scroll through Instagram, simply uncaring of the world and people around them and the show happening right in front of them. So invested in their online feed, the owner is oblivious of the band's live set, a sudden alien invasion occurring, being abducted by said aliens, being apart of a car chase, witnessing a nuclear explosion, and a rather bizarre ending that calls back to the band's amazing 'Everybody' film clip.

This chaos all happens while the owner of the phone refuses to tear themselves away from the small screen ingests your typical social media BS filler of online quizzes, political hot takes, cat videos, memes, and many other easter eggs from Don Broco's previous music videos. (Namely that of the batshit insane 'Pretty' and 'Everybody', both of which are integral watching prior to viewing this new, slightly cheesy but rather ridiculous video).

Speaking of their latest visual slice, Damiani states that, “We’re all addicted to our phones, so for the video, we thought it would be fun to see if an alien invasion was enough for us to put the phones down for a minute… turns out it’s not."

Fans or those just outright curious will be able to "immerse" themselves in the ‘Technology’ experience, with the interactive release of Technology – The Video Game on IOS and Android app stores. (You'll be able to pick it up here once it drops). The new platform game - reminiscent of vintage titles like your Super Mario's  or Megaman's or whatever latest indie game has Steam and GOG.com buzzing - will allow fans to play as either Rob Damiani (vocals), Matt Donnelly (drums), Simon Delaney (guitar) or Tom Doyle (bass) fighting their way out of London's prestigious Alexandra Palace (where the quartet will be playing their largest headline show to date at come this November) and out onto the streets of ol' London town. All the while shooting invading aliens cause why the hell not.

The singer also mentioned what powers he has in this game based off of this latest clip, saying" In the video game, you get to fight off the alien army as each band member and I shoot microphones out my hands which is pretty awesome.” Out-fucking-standing.

Now, let's just hope that this game is more fun and namely more interesting than that of PUP's video game. The less said about that the better.

Don Broco's last album was 2015's 'Automatic', so I'd say we're about due for a new album this year or early next. Fingers crossed! Technology’ is out now through SharpTone Records and it's sick.
