On Friday, Brissy metalcore lads The Name Of A Ghost unveiled their latest breakdown and riff-heavy EP, the six-track long and lengthily titled, 'I Called Your Name But All You Heard Was Static'. A real doozy of a name, to be sure, but a decent EP no doubt.

This new EP from the Queensland outfit has been cobbled together with the help of many of their state-based peers. 'I Called Out Your Name...' (ah, that's easier) was engineered, mixed and mastered last year by Cory Judd (of A Night In Texas) at Colossal Track StudiosSean Prior, the bassist for fellow Brisbane band, Deadlights, guests on 'Burn The River'. Then Jared Bray from their contemporary heavy-hitters Initiate Jericho lends his brutal pipes on 'Sort Me Out Geezer', whereas She Cries Wolf's own intense frontman Luke Harriss shows up for a solid guestie on the EP's solid final song, 'Poison Tongue'.

You can stream 'I Called Out Your Name...' on Spotify, or you can pick it up on iTunes or on Google Play. We'd suggest getting it on the easily superior platform - Bandcamp - but hey, you do you.
