Listen with a cup of earl grey tea. What else are you gonna drink while listening to Earl Grey's latest? English Breakfast? Don't make me laugh.

Be sure you're listening with a cup of earl grey tea in one hand. Because what else are you gonna drink while listening to Earl Grey's latest? English Breakfast? Don't make me fucking laugh!

Named after what is arguably the best kind of tea in existence and that one really cool Basement song, Germany's Earl Grey have a short but sweet new tune now out, 'Nothing'. Besides their geographical placing, this Mönchengladbach-based melodic punk rock/pop-punk band are indeed following in the previous paths of bands like The Story So Far, Neck Deep, and the aforementioned Basement. But that's no bad thing, as they pull it off quite well.

For those more than likely unaware, this German group were founded just a few years ago and have two EP's to their eight letter name - 2015's pair, 'Ready to Leave' and 'Passing Time'. Still treading the waters of this seemingly never-ending ocean of EP's, the quintet's third extended play will be the forthcoming 'The Times You Cross My Mind', due out July 21st. This new release was mastered by Seb Barlow (brother of Neck Deep's own Ben Barlow) and who has given this upcoming Earl Grey five-track release its final bit of spit and polish.

Much like the aggressive-meets-catchy punk sound of their prior EP's, 'Nothing' - the opening track of 'The Times You Cross My Mind' - is very much the same sound as before. But here, the musical holes have been plugged up and the sonic screws have been tightened so to say. So much like this short but solid track, I'll wrap this article up right now so you can stream 'Nothing' below!
