And with it, Set The Score continue to be one of my favourite Australian artists!

Melbourne punk rock/pop-punk quintet, Set The Score are once again delivering us all the solid goods, this time with their latest single, 'Homebound'.

Like a vast majority of other bands from the pop-punk world, the lyrical inspiration concept for 'Homebound' came from the band's personal experiences with certain individuals who shan't be named, and in using their music to find some kind of closure. In this particular instance, Set The Score's vocalist David Bell tells of where 'Homebound' came from, saying, "Lyrically Homebound is about my experiences with someone that I shared my whole life, who chose to go down the path of drugs and the influence they had over me."

Accompanying the audio format of 'Homebound' is a subversive music video that was produced and directed by the usual suspect - Kieran Ellis-Jones of Crystal Arrow Films, who I think has more music videos on the Dreambound YouTube channel than anyone else.

Stream 'Homebound' below, and my fingers are crossed hard for a full-length record from these guys to finally drop this year...

While further touring is planned for later this year, to now celebrate the release of this hot new single, Set the Score will launch 'Homebound' at Melbourne's own Wrangler Studios on Sunday, May 21st with fellow pop-punk locals Terra, Stuck Out and Better Half. Which means that I'll be attending that show, as man, that's a solid lineup!
