Mayday Parade's 2007 record will be getting the ten-year anniversary treatment this October in Australia.

Mayday Parade, the Florida pop-rock band whose 2007 debut album 'A Lesson In Romantics' defined the formative years and vast emotions for uncountable teenager listeners will be touring said record around Australia this October.

After the budding band were signed up by Fearless Records in 2006 - who they're still with, by the way - 'A Lesson in Romantics' was recorded in early 2007 with producers Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount, before eventually being released on July 10th, 2007. Since it's release ten years ago, 'A Lesson in Romantics' has become Mayday Parade's most commercially successful release, selling well over 200,000 units since it's release. (Probably should have stayed in the band either way, aye Jason Lancaster?). And the rest of the band's career was history, really.

Though I think it's very safe to say that without this particular debut, and without the 2007 climate of alternative music's popularity that the record was released within, Derek Sanders and co. may not have become the household name they are today.

Anyway, acting as a suitable support slot for this upcoming tour, popular acoustic-indie duo This Wild Life will be supporting the Sunshine State band, save for the tour's New Zealand stopover in Auckland.

Check out one of the "classic" songs - that wasn't 'Jamie All Over' or 'When I Get Home, You're So Dead' - from 'A Lesson In Romantics' below.
