Northlane's 'Mesmer' wasn't the only surprise album to drop last Friday.

With a decade having passed since their last full-length album, 2007's 'Disturb The Hive', Melbourne's Mindsnare surprised their fans (well, most fans - 50 lucky fucks got this newie early with their recent seven-inches) with the quite sudden release of their fifth full-length album, 'Unholy Rush'.

Now, this new album didn't completely come out of nowhere, however. For just over two weeks ago, the local hardcore legends dropped the previously mentioned two seven-inches in the form of 'Into Infinity' and 'The Holy Bull Rides Fast'; two solid returning listeners for the group who are now into their 22nd year together.

But this new album is the real comeback, folks.

In a recent interview with Noisey, the band stated that this new 13-track record was all actually going to be a trio seven-inches, but that was shit canned after the band felt they were overreaching themselves and went for this approach instead. Still effective, I'd say.

As for this 'Unholy Rush', you can pick up an LP or CD copy of the record via Resist Records here, or digitally via the holiness of Bandcamp over here. Expect our very own residential Mindsnare lover, Owen Morawitz, to cover the new album in detail shortly.

In the meantime, you can read his review of their recent two seven-inches here and you can stream 'Unholy Rush' in full below.

Also, the respective artwork of those two smaller releases, when put together in full context, help make up the full cover of 'Unholy Rush'. Look below and then see this post's header photo to see what I'm on about.
