Texas is known for a lot of things; some of it good, some of it shit. However, one of the former are the instrumental post-rock legends, Explosions In The Sky. As fate would have it, the band will be touring Australia in 2017, for the first time in almost six years, and I can already hear those blissful, emotive crescendos now!

In case you missed it, 2016 saw the Texan outfit release their seventh record, 'The Wilderness' - it's great, read our review of it here - which was their first since 2011's contentious 'Take Care Take Care Take Care'. New record aside, one can expect a sonic experience unlike any other as the band will be playing material from across their fabled discography. But in far simpler terms, that means you will not want to miss this one!

The five-date tour goes down in February next year (dates below) and tickets will be going on sale Friday, October 21st via handsometours.com. Also, please, please let this be the first real chance that a band will finally bring Caspian out to Australia, for the love of god!

Sun 19 Feb -  The Gov, Adelaide

Now, if for some reason, you don't know who this band is, then I implore you to educate yourself with perhaps their best album, 'The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place'.
