This track feels like a B-side from 'Instant Gratification' and I mean that in the best possible way. Of course, there's a little more to sink into here than just a new song as it comes with one of the pinkest and downright physically messiest film clips the band has in recent memory.

The music video's metaphor of creating more issues when trying to rebuild burnt bridges with those closest to you is really on the nose but the song itself is dope, and at this point, that's all I ask for when I sit down to enjoy Dance Gavin Dance. But there is a massive dissonance between the visuals the tremolo guitars and Jon Mess's harsh vocals at the 0:58 mark due to his placid, calm facial expression and the fact he's simply speaking his parts, instead of screaming them (yes, I know that it's all miming to the song, but it's the body language that matters here). But Jesus, it is seriously off-putting...and I just love it! Plus, the insane amount of vocal layers at the end was just such a fitting, epic way to end the song.

DGD's new album is 'Mothership' and it is out October 7th through Rise Records. Be cool and go check out prior track, 'Chucky vs. The Giant Tortoise', right here. You're welcome.
