Beach Slang have a killer new album on the way called 'A Loud Bash Of Teenage Feelings'. I've had the privilege of having being sent this album really fucking early and I've had it on repeat ever since.

Now, I ain't spilling the beans on it just yet (that's for my eventual review), but easily one of the better songs to be found on the record is 'Atom Bomb' and the band has just recently released the song as a new single.

Much like the music video for 'Punks In A Disco Bar', the grainy super 8mm footage fits so well with the band's warm, distorted punk rock sound and DIY vibe. Whereas that song/film clip focused on young people feeling like outcasts and finding love and acceptance from like-minded outcasts, the visual accompaniment to 'Atom Bomb' is kinda like that 2006 Heath Ledger movie, Candy. Except it doesn't go for 100 minutes, doesn't have an all-star cast, and has far less drug use in it. Still pretty good, though.

'A Loud Bash Of Teenage Feelings' is out September 23rd through Cooking Vinyl Australia.
