Never change, Osaka Punch, never change.

Come September 16th, Brisbane's Osaka Punch will release their terrific new EP, 'Death Monster Super Squad' (via Bird's Robe). But before that grand day arrives, they've got a new music video for their current single, 'Make The Call', to share with you all today.

The idea for their new film clip was simple; make frontman and professional eyebrow raiser, Jack Venables, take a bunch of LSD and send him on his merry, tripping-balls way to the Royal Queensland Show (AKA Ekka, Queensland's annual agricultural show). What follows is basically a shorter version of Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, just with no Johnny Depp, fewer dinosaur hallucinations, giant goat balls, and a far better soundtrack. All in all, it's a pretty good film clip, if a little cheesy, especially that comedy skit at the start. But I expect that kind of humour from the band by now so I ain't that phased.

You know, I actually had a good friend of mine try LSD for the first time last year. He said that once it kicked in, he walked into his kitchen, saw his vinyl floor moving and distorting, collapsed to the ground and began to laugh  uncontrollably for a minute or two. That doesn't really have anything to do with Osaka Punch, I just wanted to share that with you all. You're welcome!

Anway, I'd say that my favourite part of the video comes in at the 2:57 mark, where a female patron walks past Venables, (who I'm told was legitimately tripping balls during filming) with this utter look of 'What the actual fuck are you doing, dude?'. You and me both, random lady, you and me both.
