Two bands in and this one is already looking like a sick lineup!

After an immensely positive 2015 installment, Victorian one-dayer event, Invasion Fest, is coming back in 2016 and is going down on Saturday, December 10th at Arrow On Swanson, Melbourne.

So far, Melbourne's groove-laden weirdos Dregg and Adelaide's prime melodic hardcore boys Hindsight have been announced for the all-ages show, with many more local talents to come. Last year, Hallower reformed for the show, and with Unify Gathering 2017 snagging House Vs Hurricane, I reckon that it's about time that someone tells Carpathian to come back for a one-off. Make it happen, internet.

In any case, the third announcement is coming this Sunday, 28th August at 6pm. The fourth band announcement is on Tuesday, 31st August again at 6pm. Set your alarms.

Considering the fast traction that Dregg has gathered so quickly, it's no surprise that the band is getting a lot of tour and gig spots lately. 'Sorry Daddy' is a fucking jam and I'm waiting with bated breath to see what this band does next, for better or for worse. (I'm hoping for the former). As for Hindsight, these guys have what is easily one of my favourite music videos from a local Australian band - 'Loveover'. The track itself, which is an awesome burst of emotion, comes from their most recent EP, 'Disposable Paradise', which you can find here.
