Suicidal Tendencies Announce New Album, 'World Gone Mad'

Hardcore-thrash crossover veterans, Suicidal Tendencies, have announced that their 12th studio album is on its way next month. Oh, and that they've also recruited a few new members along the way....

Guitarist Jeff Pogan & bassist Ra Diaz (seriously, though, what a fucking kick ass name), are the new blood in the band and they're also joined by one of heavy metals most well-known drummers: former Slayer skins-hitter, Dave Lombardo!

Lombardo will be...slaying behind the kit for this new release (I'm really going to hell for that one) and as a drummer myself, I am very curious to see whether or not he brings the usual Slayer style to this release or something else entirely into the band's mix. However, if the drummer's comments in a recent press release are to be believed, then maybe not. See below:

“I think it's very typical and very traditional Suicidal Tendencies. It's that unforgettable style. It's Mike Muir. He is a legend and has a very special style in which he writes his music, his lyrics, and his structures. And I love it; I love it. It takes me back to how it all started, which was that punk attitude."

Well, I'm still holding out in any case.

It also seems that this album is making many firsts for ol' ST, this will also be the band's first ever label to garner the "Parental advisory" sticker. But wait a minute, that's right! It's not the goddamn 80's or 90's anymore so who the fuck cares!? Also, the band's had profanity and adult themes on part albums so WTF
