After spending 13 years on the sidelines, these Australian nu-metal rockers are making a comeback.

Since calling it quits in 2003, Melbourne's Superheist are now getting the ol' band back together and they've got a new singer, a new album, AND a new tour to boot. Really not wasting any time now, are they?

The hard rock/nu-metal band's first new song in a bloody long while is called 'Hands Up High', and will premiere later today on Triple J's The Racket. The song also features their new vocalist, Melbourne frontman Ezekiel Ox (formerly of Full Scale and Mammal). Likewise, a new music video for 'Hands Up High' also dropped recently so have a looky-loo for that one below. (Good god, did I just say 'looky-loo'? Man, that's a paddlin').

I may have been a little too young to remember these guys, but for the slightly older readers amongst us, you may remember the band for the Rage air time with songs like 'Bullet', 'Step Back', and 'Seven Years'. How many times can you say 'A blast from the past?' Anyway, the band prefers to call this new chapter in their career "a new beginning" and not a reunion. But look, guys, it's the same shit, different smell. You're back now and that's what matters!

'Ghosts Of The Social Dead' is the name of their upcoming record, their first record in well over a decade, and it was written over the course of 18 months by the group's guitarist/founding member, DW Norton. The album will be released on Friday, October 28th with Jay Baumgardner (of Papa Roach, Evanescence fame) covering the production duties for the album's creation this month over in L.A.
