Iceland’s Secret Solstice festival kicks of this week with Radiohead, Monsters and Men and Deftones to appear, among over 177 other acts.

Deftones is set to play their headline set on Saturday, June 18th but frontman Chino Moreno will have a special performance that may top anything that he, and the band, have done before.

This "secret" show dubbed 'Inside the Volcano', will take place 400 feet (122 metres) inside of the motherfucking Earth, in the totally easy to pronounce Thrihnuagigur volcano. Twenty very lucky and brave ticket holders will get what should be an experience of a lifetime.

While volcano shows have been done before, with bands having played a top volcano's in Hawaii, this will be the first show ever in which artists and fans will venture to the inside for the performance. Prior to any artist being announced, the event sold out in a few days, and as luck would have it, a great artist like the Deftones frontman himself is playing.

Now, don't stress that the volcano might all of a sudden explode like a frustrated Randy Marsh, as the last time that Thrihnuagigur erupted was well over 4,000 years ago. And if it does erupt (God forbid) at least those 20 fans can say they were.
