Sure, it's hard to compete when Flume drops a new record and claims the top spot, but well done to Architects, who debuted right at #2 with their kick-ass album, 'All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us'. That is the highest chart placement the lads have made in Australia to date and if it wasn't for the Syndey-based producer taking #1, Architects could have been top dogs. With this in mind, I'm just going to assume that the bands performances on the Bring Me The Horizon tour later this year will be received really bloody well by the fans. Make sure to read our review of the cracking new record here.

And making their first ever Top 20 debut in Australia is Italian rock/metal outfit Lacuna Coil, who just made it over the line at #19 with new album, 'Delirium' (they still couldn't beat out 'The Best Of' by The Wiggles, of all people, who peaked at #16. I blame these 18+ shows that they're playing right now). As a point of reference, Lacuna Coil's previous chart P.B. was back in 2009 when 'Shallow Life' peaked at #78. So, you know, 59 spots in seven years ain't that bad of an improvement. Still, it's just good to see people buying music, especially now that both iTunes sales are counted, and that Bandcamp will also be included in the near future. So keep on buying music and supporting the bands you love, folks!
