After 12 years in the hardcore world, Lionheart, are packing up shop following a few final releases and a handful of final US dates later this year.

After 12 years in the hardcore world, Lionheart, are packing up shop following a few final releases and a handful of final US dates later this year.

A statement from the tough guy, groove-heavy outfit posted to social media earlier this evening was summed up with this one line - "now it's our time". Read the full statement from the group below.

"Toured with some good bands, toured with some bad ones. Met some great people, and some complete idiots. Started this band in a living room in San Francisco and ended up getting to see the world. Seen a million bands, scenes, trends, and people come and go- now it's our time. Everyone has jobs or careers that make doing this (even part time) next to impossible. One more EP, a split with one of our favorite bands, and some final US shows will be announced soon. The current Canadian & European dates will be our last shows in those territories.

Thank you for everything- this was one hell of a ride. - LHHC"

We'll keep you posted about that final EP split, that are apparently on the table for the near future, as news comes out about them. The band's last album was 'Love Don't Live Here', which came out earlier this year. Here is arguably one of the better songs from said release.
