In the once playful words of Seinfeld's Kramer, "Why go to a fine restaurant, when you can just stick something in a microwave? Why go to the park and fly a kite, when you can just pop a pill?" Well, music fans why donate $10 and receive a digital stream of a band's previously unreleased (and usually, discarded) tracks, when you can fork out $600,000 and buy a recording studio?

Papa Roach are currently financing their upcoming studio album, and subsequently have launched a PledgeMusic campaign to help with the associated costs.

"Yup, a new Papa Roach album is in the works! We’ve teamed up with PledgeMusic to offer you a pre-order like none other. We put up some pretty cool and unique things that we hope you’ll enjoy. Everyone who pre-orders the album here will get a digital download of the new album on the day of release," the band comments.

With everything from the usual album, vinyl and test pressing options, the band has also offered some quite grandiose options. For $75,000 (that's over $103,000 AUD, for us Aussies) Papa Roach will perform an acoustic set in your backyard. Ok. Equally, if flushing money down the toilet is your thing, for $600,000 ($830,722 AUD) you can purchase the group's recording studio in downtown Sacramento. Similarly, you can even purchase a day of bubble soccer with the band, and a used fridge. Who says money can't buy you happiness?
