Popular Californian melodic hardcore outfit Being As An Ocean make their anticipated return to Australia at the end of this month.

In support of their current studio album – 2015’s self-titled offering – and new single (‘Dissolve‘), the lads perform on a 10-show run around the country.

To coincide, guitarist Tyler Ross recently checked-in with Killyourstereo.com to provide his 'Top 5 favourite Australian albums'.

Troye Sivan - Blue Neighbourhood

Love Troye's songwriting and voice. I first heard the song 'Blue' when I was visiting Paris in December 2015, and I think that song played a part in a story that ended in me moving here, so I'm thankful for it.

AC/DC - Back in Black

The riff is unbeatable; so awesome for Australia to have scored such a legendary rock band with this one.

Sia - 1000 Forms of Fear

I really look up to Sia as a songwriter, and for the things she has to say about artistry and personality, and fame and modern music. I have so much respect for her.

Tame Impala - Currents

I love the massive riff on 'Let It Happen'. My girlfriend Mélissa got me into this record. The riff is absolutely huge.

The Vines - Highly Evolved

Loved this record when I was 13 years old. [We'd listen] to it by pointing my friend Josh's little desktop speakers out his bedroom window towards his pool while we jumped off the roof of the shed into the water, when his parents weren't home.
