Indiana (pop) punk stalwarts The Ataris have announced an Australia tour, with the band to return on a five-show run this June.

One for the nostalgic, the international four-piece will perform cuts from their sophomore album 'Blue Skies, Broken Hearts...Next 12 Exits' as well as songs from 2003's 'So Long Astoria'.

Quiet on the release front, their current album 2007's 'Welcome the Night', The Ataris are presently working on a new full-length, with early tracks now available via Bandcamp.

"[The] follow-up to the band's surprising debut solidified The Ataris' position among the leaders of late-'90s pop-punk. The tempos settle down a little on this 1999 release, giving songs like "I Won't Spend Another Night Alone" more of an alt-rock feel, but the tight compositions never stray too far from the group's post-revivalist, almost emo punk," Allmusic.com said of 'Blue Skies, Broken Hearts...Next 12 Exits' previously.
