Darkest Hour crowdfunding for new album

D.C metal staples Darkest Hour are crowdfunding for their upcoming ninth studio album.

The US outfit have launched the campaign, which will help finance a follow-up to 2014's self-titled effort.

"If you haven’t heard by now we’ve launched a crowd funding campaign to fund the independent release of our ninth studio album! Creating and releasing an album like this is a huge undertaking, we are full on ready for the challenge! Actually seeing the names of EVERY person that contributes is an amazing feeling, we can truly see the names of each person who has faith in this band and it only encourages us that much more.

"We will be keeping everyone who is involved updated as we progress with this epic undertaking. Thanks again to all who have contributed so far! From 5 dirt bag lifers who love nothing more than dirty, crusty, raging, metal - thank you, we can’t wait to unleash these new jams," the band writes.
